Recommendation Concerning the Artificial Reef Construction - Stephan Hall, Management and Budget Services Interim Department Director
That the Board award Contract PD 14-15.029, for Artificial Reef Construction, to Panhandle Underwater Maintenance and Salvage, LLC, and approve the Agreement for Artificial Reef Construction between Escambia County and Panhandle Underwater Maintenance and Salvage, LLC, in the amount of $79,400.

BACKGROUND:
The Office of Purchasing advertised the Invitation to Bid PD14-15.029 in the Pensacola News Journal on February 2, 2015. Ten firms were notified on February 2, 2015. Representatives from seven firms attended the pre-bid meeting on February 6, 2015. Five bids were received on February 25, 2015. Panhandle Underwater Maintenance and Salvage LLC is the lowest responsive bid. This contract is for the clean-up, preparation, towing and deployment as an artificial reef & of theTug Ocean Wind Doc No.264248; built 1952; 141 Gross Tons; 96 Net tons; 87.6ft x 25.1ft; draft 10.4 ft. The vessel was purchased by Escambia County and will be deployed in conjunction with the Florida Wildlife Commission and is presently located at the Port of Pensacola:
