Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #052 - Stephan Hall, Management and Budget Services Interim Department Director
That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #052, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $20,000, to recognize proceeds from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service, and to appropriate the funds to develop a tree inventory database and assist with funding for tree education materials, workshops, and the County Arbor Day Celebration.
BACKGROUND:
Escambia County's urban forest plays a vital role in the health and well being of its citizens and communities. The Community & Environment Department's Water Quality & Land Management Division applied for an Urban and Community Forestry Grant through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to provide funds to develop a tree inventory database and assist with funding for tree education materials, workshops and the County Arbor Day.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The amendment will increase Fund 110 by $20,000. This grant requires a $2,100 match that will be from the County Tree Fund Ordinance Fees.
