On Feb 13, 2014, the FDOT and the County entered into a JPA that provides the County $300,000.00 per FDOT fiscal year. This is in response to the Florida Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) number one priority for our region. The County is managing the dollars for Escambia, Santa Rosa, and City of Pensacola to address Signalization issues in our region on the State system. It is under, and according to, this JPA that the consultant services are to function. The County’s intent was to hire a Signalization Engineer, however due to that position not yet being filled, the County desires to move forward with the necessary Signalization work in our two counties through this continuing contract.
