Escambia County’s urban forest plays a vital role in the health and well being of its citizens and communities. The Community & Environment Department’s Water Quality & Land Management Division applied for an Urban and Community Forestry Grant through FDACS to provide funds to develop a tree inventory database and assist with funding for tree education materials, workshops and the County Arbor Day Celebration. The County was awarded a grant for $20,000. In order to receive the Grant funds, a Resolution must be adopted and the MOA executed. This recommendation will accomplish both requirements. |
