Recommendation Concerning the Scheduling of a Public Hearing for the Ashland Heights Phase One Street Lighting Municipal Services Benefit Unit - Sharon Harrell, Interim Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services
That the Board authorize the scheduling of a public hearing on July 2, 2020, at 5:36 p.m., to consider adoption of an ordinance creating the Ashland Heights Phase One Street Lighting Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).
BACKGROUND:
The property owners in Ashland Heights Phase One, submitted a petition asking the County to create a street lighting MSBU within the subdivision. The petition is sufficient to meet the MSBU Guidelines and Procedures.
The Ashland Heights Phase One lighting district plan proposal:
*42 Assessable lots located in Commission District 3.
*8 lights in initial plan.
*Year 1 Assessment: $90.62, includes reserve and 15 months of service.
*Year 2 and Beyond Assessment: $67.13, 12 months of service.

The property owners will be notified of the date, time and place of the public hearing by mail and by advertisement in the Pensacola News Journal.
