Recommendation Concerning the Scheduling of a Public Hearing for the Beulah Garden Estates Street Lighting Municipal Services Benefit Unit - Sharon Harrell, Interim Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services
That the Board authorize the scheduling of a public hearing on July 2, 2020, at 5:34 p.m., to consider adoption of an ordinance creating the Beulah Garden Estates Street Lighting Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).
BACKGROUND:
The majority of owners in Beulah Garden Estates submitted a letter of request asking the County to create a street lighting MSBU within the subdivision. The letter is sufficient to meet the MSBU Guidelines and Procedures.
The Beulah Garden Estates lighting district plan proposal:
*25 Assessable lots located in Commission District 1.
*5 lights in initial plan.
*Year 1 Assessment: $167.37, includes reserve and 15 months of service.
*Year 2 and Beyond Assessment: $123.99, 12 months of service.

The Board must approve the scheduling of public hearings, per F.S. 166.41.

The property owners will be notified of the date, time and place of the public hearing by mail and by advertisement in the Pensacola News Journal.
