Recommendation Concerning Extension of Escambia County Emergency Order Related to Tolling Permits.
That the Board discuss extending the Escambia County Emergency Order related to tolling permits.
BACKGROUND:
On March 20, 2020 the Board voted to enact Emergency Order 20-2 that provided for the tolling of County permits due to the concerns and complications raised by the COVID-19 pandemic. The affected permits includes but is not limited to building permits, solid waste facility permits and development orders. Due to Governor’s Executive Order 20-112 as well as the economic uncertainty facing our community, the Board may wish to continue to toll County permits and, if so, for a period of time as determined by the Board.
