5:47 p.m. - A Public Hearing Concerning the Renewal of Operational Permit for Resource Extraction for Brickton Borrow Pit
That the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) review and approve, modify, or deny the renewal of an Operational Permit for Resource Extraction for Brickton Borrow Pit, located at 8700 BLK Highway 29, owned by C.R. Campbell.
BACKGROUND:
A borrow pit permit was originally approved by the Board of County Commissioners for Brickton Borrow Pit on May 21, 2015. The expansion for Brickton was approved by the BCC on August 3, 2017.
Due to the COVID19 pandemic, all forms of County permits are currently under the County’s Tolling Emergency Order, with the total time for tolling to be added to the end of the permit period once known.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
The County Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the recommendation for legal sufficiency.
PERSONNEL:

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
The recommendation is in compliance with Chapter 42, Article VIII, Borrow Pits and Reclamation, of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon approval by the BCC, the Development Services Department will renew the operational permit for resource extraction for Brickton Borrow Pit.
