RECOMMENDATION:
5:46 p.m. - A Public Hearing Concerning the Renewal of a Recycling Permit for an Asphalt/Concrete Crushing Recycling and Processing Facility located at 13009 Beulah Road, Cantonment, FL, Escambia County Landfill
That the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) review and approve, modify, or deny the renewal of a Recycling Permit for an existing asphalt/concrete crushing recycling and processing facility located at 13009 Beulah Road, Cantonment, FL, owned by Escambia County.
BACKGROUND:
The Escambia County Perdido Landfill was originally issued a Recycling Permit on October 19, 2017, and subsequent annual renewal permit on October 4, 2018.
Prior to expiration of the renewal permit, a 180-day extension was requested and granted, with an expiration date of April 18, 2020. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the annual renewal was postponed to the May 7, 2020, Regular BCC Meeting.
As all forms of County permits are currently under the County’s Tolling Emergency Order, the total time for tolling will be added to the end of the permit period once known.
