Recommendation Concerning Board Award for the Second of Two Possible Renewal Periods for Furnish & Installation of Traffic Control and Street Name Signs - Joy Jones, Director, Engineering, and Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board approve the second of two possible one-year renewal periods allowed per the Agreement, retroactive to January 20, 2020, for PD 16-17.073, Furnish & Installation of Traffic Control and Street Name Signs with Gulf Coast Traffic Engineers, Inc., with a Fiscal Year 2019-2020 expenditure of $150,000.

BACKGROUND:
An Invitation to Bid for PD 16-17.073, Furnish & Installation of Traffic Control & Street Name Signs was publicly noticed on Monday, September 11, 2017, in the Pensacola News Journal. Two companies attended the non-mandatory pre-solicitation conference on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. One vendor - Gulf Coast Traffic Engineers - submitted a bid on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Fund 175, Transportation Trust Fund, Cost Center 211201 - $100,000; and
Fund 353, LOST (Local Options Sales Tax) IV, Cost Center 210106 - $50,000
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
The original Agreement was prepared by Kristin Hual, Senior Assistant County Attorney.
PERSONNEL:
All work associated with this Recommendation was done in-house and no additional staff was required.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This Recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, FL 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Engineering Department will be the Contract Administrator for the Agreement.
