Recommendation Concerning the Scheduling of a Public Hearing for the Graystone Estates Phase Two Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management & Budget Services
That the Board authorize the scheduling of a Public Hearing on January 23, 2020, at 9:01 a.m., to consider adoption of an Ordinance creating the Graystone Estates Phase Two Street Lighting Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).
BACKGROUND:
The builders of Graysone Estates Phase Two, (D.R. Horton and Northern Gulf Nowak, LLC) submitted letters of request asking to create a street lighting MSBU. The letters of request are sufficient to meet the MSBU Guidelines and Procedures because the builders own greater than 55% of parcels in the subdivision.
The Graysone Estates Phase Two Street Lighting MSBU plan proposal:
* 56 assessable lots located in Commission District 5
* 21 street lights
* Assessments are estimated to be:
1st year - $464 (includes a reserve and 19 months of costs)
Subsequent years - $275
