Recommendation Concerning the Approval of the EMS Agency Subgrant Application - Michael D. Weaver, Public Safety Department Director
That the Board approve and ratify the Interim County Administrator’s signature, dated March 7, 2019, on the Florida Department of Health, Health Information and Policy Analysis Section, EMS Agency Subgrant Application for Fiscal Year 2019/2020. If awarded the funds are 100% reimbursable and will be used to purchase replacement ePCR tablets for the ambulances.

BACKGROUND:
The Florida Department of Health is providing funding to Florida licensed EMS providers to enable agencies to participate and submit the most current NEMSIS data standard V3.4 to state repository. Funding will be made available for the aquisition of hardware/software/installation and implementation services for establishing and/or enhancing an electronic EMS data collection system.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The Florda Department of Health, Health Information and Policy Analysis Section, EMS Agency Subgrant award will have a psotive financial impact for Escambia COunty EMS. This award will increase funds avaiable to EMS for the express purpose of improving our electronic EMS data collection system.
