Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #122 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services
That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #122, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $674,537, to recognize proceeds from the State of Florida E911 Board for E911 State Grant Contract Number S12-19-02-04, and to appropriate these funds for upgrading Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP). The project will upgrade the Vesta 9-1-1 geo-redundant cores and ancillary equipment for Side "A" housed at the Escambia County Emergency Communications Center and Side "B" housed at the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
BACKGROUND:
On December 6, 2018, the Board approved the E911 State Grant Program application. The State of Florida E911 Board awarded E911 State Grant Contract Number S12-19-02-04 in the amount of $674,537, and funds will be used for upgrading Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP). The project will upgrade the Vesta 9-1-1 geo-redundant cores and ancillary equipment for Side A housed at the Escambia County Emergency Communications Center and Side B housed at the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
This amendment will increase Fund 110 by $674,537. As matching funds, the County is required to provide $155,497 for the simultaneous upgrade to the Pensacola Police Department's E911 system. The matching funds will come from E911 Fund 145 Reserves.
