RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Memorandum of Agreement between Escambia County and the Pensacola State College Foundation, Inc. - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services
That the Board take the following action concerning the Memorandum of Agreement between Escambia County and the Pensacola State College Foundation, Inc.:
A. Approve the Memorandum of Agreement, to be paid from the Local Option Sales Tax III Fund, Fund 352, Cost Center 110267, in the amount of $250,000;
B. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement and all other necessary documents; and
C. Authorize the approval of the necessary Purchase Order.
BACKGROUND:
At the September 10, 2018, First Budget Public Hearing, the Board approved $250,000 from the Local Option Sales Tax III Fund carry forward to be allocated to Pensacola State College to provide a partial match to construct the Baars Building for workforce training programs in STEM programs including cyber security, math, computer science and applied/advanced technology.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 Carry Forward Budget, as approved by the Board at the September 10, 2018, First Budget Public Hearing.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
The County Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the Agreement.
