Recommendation Concerning the Downtown Improvement Board's First City Lights Festival - Commissioner Grover C. Robinson, IV, Chairman, District 4
That the Board approve allocating $45,000, from Commissioner Grover Robinson's Discretionary Money, for the Downtown Improvement Board to purchase Christmas lights in order to expand the First City Lights Festival, and approve a Purchase Order to be issued for this purpose.

BACKGROUND:
On September 20, 2016,as part of the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 adopted Budget, the Board allocated $50,000 in discretionary money for each Commissioner to use as they wish. Last year, the Downtown Improvement Board purchased Christmas lights to place in downtown Pensacola. Commissioner Robinson would like to contribute $45,000 from his discretionary money for the Downtown Improvement Board to purchase additional lights to expand the First City Lights Festival.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The Board approved $50,000 in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget for each Commissioner to use as discretionary funds.
