Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #197 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services
That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #197, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $211,817, to recognize proceeds from two State of Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Subgrant Agreements, and to appropriate these funds for enhancement of Escambia County's Division of Emergency Management daily and emergency operations and to assist in local disaster planning and community outreach efforts. These Grant funds also support the salary of an existing County employee who provides Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and technology assistance to the Division.
BACKGROUND:
On July 7, 2016, the Board approved FDEM Emergency Management Performance (EMPG) Federally-Funded Subgrant Agreement #17-FG-XX-01-27-01-090 in the amount of $106,011, and Emergency Management Preparedness and Assistance (EMPA) State-Funded Subgrant Agreement #17-BG-83-01-27-023 in the amount of $105,806. Both Grants will be used to assist in enhancing the daily and emergency operations of the Escambia County Division of Emergency Management and to assist in local disaster planning and community outreach efforts for the period July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017. These Grant funds also support the salary of an existing County employee that provides GIS and technology assistance to the Division.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
This amendment will increase Fund 110 by $211,817.
