Recommendation Concerning the Cancellation of a Residential Rehab Grant Program Lien - Tonya Gant, Neighborhood & Human Services Department Director
That the Board take the following action concerning the cancellation of the Residential Rehab Grant Program Lien:
A. Approve the following cancellation of the Residential Rehab Grant Program Lien, as the Grant recipient has repaid all Grant funds disbursed by the County Community Redevelopment Agency:

B. Authorize the Chairman to execute the Cancellation of Lien document.
BACKGROUND:
The aforementioned property owners decided to rescind their Lien Agreement approved by the Board on November 17, 2015 in the amount of $3,550 due to selling their property located at 319 East Winthrop Avenue. Since the Lien Agreement was not in compliance for 1 year, property owners are responsible for repaying the total amount of Grant funds disbursed from the CRA Residential Rehab Grant Program. Funds will be deposited back into the Warrington TIF, Fund 151, and Cost Center 370114.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There will be no budgetary impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
Kristin Hual, Assistant County Attorney, has reviewed and approved the Cancellation of Lien document as to form and legal sufficiency.
PERSONNEL:
Neighborhood & Human Services/Community Redevelopment Agency (NHS/CRA) staff coordinates the Residential Rehab Grant Program and all associated administrative functions.
POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
Current practice requires Board approval for Residential Rehab Grant Program lien cancellation.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon obtaining the Chairman’s signature, the Clerk of Court will record the Cancellation of Lien document for the owners.
