Escambia County Public Works staff requests the Board's approval to transfer $760,000 from the Myrtle Grove Jackson Project to the Mayfair/Algiers and the Buddy's Lane Projects. The Myrtle Grove area improvements were limited to available right of way and therefore the staff requests to move the funds to projects that are feasible and are a priority. Myrtle Grove drainage improvements will continue as needs are identified. The projects are described below:
Description
District
Amount
Description of Project
Mayfair/Algiers
2
$680,000
Phase 1 ($135K) and 2 ($120K) will be improved by conventional construction. These first two phases originally kicked off this project. Phase 2 has real estate needs. Phases 1 & 2 currently have easy access, as Mayfair Subdivision is under construction, and we would like to proceed quickly to utilize this access. Estimate will cover all four phases. Phase 3 ($270K) and 4 ($155K) are downstream of 1 and 2 will likely require pipe lining.
Buddy's Lane
2
$80,000
Road Operations Division has a quick fix for drainage. Currently there is road runoff discharging (2930 Buddy's Lane) and causing driveway and house foundation impacts. The roadway grading and resurfacing improvements will provide a benefit to 12 residential lots.
