RECOMMENDATION:

July 9, 2020, communication from Paolo Ghio, Santa Rosa Island Authority, regarding a "Food Truck" Pilot Program at Park West and Park East.

BACKGROUND:

The Santa Rosa Island Authority is proposing a pilot program comprising of four "food truck" events to take place on Pensacola Beach at Park West and Park East only. Two events would take place on designated weekends in September 2020 and two events would take place on designated weekends in October 2020. The purpose of the pilot program is to test the viability of permanent food truck operations on Pensacola Beach at Park East and Park West only.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

To facilitate this pilot program, the Santa Rosa Island Authority requests the BCC to not enforce Article 7, Sec 4-7.13(4) (Zoning Districts), only on the dates of the four events referenced herein, only at Park East and Park West.
