Recommendation Concerning Contract Award for Crockett Street Drainage Improvements Phase II - Joy Jones, P.E., Engineering Department Director thru Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board Approve and Authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement between Escambia County, Florida, and Site and Utility, LLC, per the terms and conditions of PD 19-20.068, Crockett Street Drainage Improvements Phase II for Services, in the amount of $266,495:

BACKGROUND: |
The Crockett Street and Crestfield Circle Drainage Improvements Project located within District 5 was developed and designed to reduce flooding along West Roberts Road and Crockett Street. This project has two phases and construction funding became available in different financial years. Phase I expanded the regional storm water pond called Blue Pit and provided outfall structures and improvements along Pine Forest Road.
This project, Phase II, involves drainage improvements along Crockett Street and West Roberts Road through an area of unopened right-of-way that extends south of West Roberts Road into the Blue Pit Pond via outfall structures that were constructed during Phase I. Phase II includes installing approximately 1400 linear feet of storm water pipe along with accompanying drainage structures. Phase II is expected to be constructed within 180 days after the Notice to Proceed, depending on weather.
The Invitation to Bid (ITB) PD 19-20. 068, Crockett Street Drainage Improvements Phase II, was publicly noticed on May 26, 2020. It was sent to 78 unique firms via Vendor Registry. Responses were received from eight firms on July 25, 2020. This Contract was awarded to the Low-Bidder. |
