1.   CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Fay Harvey.

2.   INVOCATION - Fay Harvey
             
3.   PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Danny Lewis
             
4.   ADDITIONS/CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA - There being no additions to the agenda, Rev. Gene Hudson moved to adopt the agenda. Danny Lewis seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. Upon call for the approval of the minutes of the MSPB of 9/13/16, Rev. Gene Hudson moved for approval. Danny Lewis seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
             
5.   ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
             
6.   APPROVAL OF MINUTES: SEPTEMBER 13, 2016 MSPB REGULAR MEETING
             
7.   PUBLIC FORUM
             
8.   OLD BUSINESS - The McCants' Appeal was not resolved at mediation. The employer is filing a motion to limit the issues at hearing. This matter will come before the Board in November as stipulated by the parties. There is another pending appeal which will be scheduled for pre-hearing. The parties have declined mediation.
             
9.   NEW BUSINESS: Two new appeals have been filed. Normally, multiple meetings/hearings are not held in December due to the holidays. So additional hearing times may be necessary in November 2016 and January 2017.
             
10.   REPORT FROM APPOINTING AUTHORITY AND ELECTED OFFICIALS
             
a.   Board of County Commissioners
             
b.   Sheriff's Office
             
c.   Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA)
             
11.   ATTORNEY'S REPORT - Board Attorney Keith Wells explained why the meeting was scheduled on 10/13/16 instead of 10/11/16 to be in compliance with publishing requirements.
             
12.   ADJOURNMENT - Rev. Gene Hudson moved, Danny Lewis seconded, motion passed - adjournment.
