RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Approval of the Renewal of Contract #CSU17 Between Escambia County and the Florida Department of Revenue for Reimbursements Related to Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement Actions - Janice P. Gilley, County Administrator

That the Board approve, and authorize the Chairman to sign, Contract #CSU17 between Escambia County and the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR), for reimbursements related to Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement actions, including service of process and execution of writs for child support of enforcement orders issued by DOR, from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025. This renewal will continue to allow the County to collect 66% of the unit rate for each service of process and each writ of bodily attachment.
BACKGROUND:

Contract #CSU17 is a Contract previously held with the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR), however the current Contract is expiring on June 30, 2020. 

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Contract amount has not changed from previous years and is still set at $300,000 for five years.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:
Contract has been approved as to form and sufficiency by Kristin Hual, Senior Assistant County Attorney.
PERSONNEL:

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
Section II, B.8.  Resolutions, Agreements and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon Board approval, the Contract will be sent to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for implementation.
