RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #094, EMS County Award Grant Appropriation, John Dosh, Interim Public Safety Department Director - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #094, Other Grants and Projects Fund (110), in the amount of $33,504, to recognize proceeds from the Florida Department of Health, and to appropriate these funds for the improvement and expansion of pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Escambia County. Funds will be used to purchase two Lund University Cardiopulmonary Assist System (LUCAS) devices, which are portable chest compression devices.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County Public Safety has been awarded a Florida Department of Health EMS County Grant, ID Code C8017, in the amount of $33,504. Funds are to be used for the improvement and expansion of pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services. Planned purchases are two LUCAS devices, which are portable chest compression devices.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This Amendment will increase Fund 110 by $33,504.
