RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Annual Hardware and Software Maintenance Support Renewal for Cyber Security Firewalls - Bart Siders, Information Technology Department Director, through Paul Nobles, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board take the following action:

A. Approve the Agreement for Support and Maintenance Services with PC Specialists, Inc. D/B/A Technology Integration Group, for Cyber Security Firewalls in the amount of $44,302.66; and

B. Authorize the Department, in conjunction with the Office of Purchasing, to issue a Purchase Order as required and use the pricing obtained through the competitively bid NASPO Contract AR2472.

BACKGROUND:

This renewal will cover the hardware and software for the Cyber Security Firewalls used to support/protect the Board of County Commissioners and the Constitutionals, for the period of May 14, 2020 - May 14, 2021, per the provided quote #048238.

Fund 001, General Fund, Cost Center 270102, Object Code 54601

Note on Contracts:
This Hardware and Software Contract was competitively bid through the NASPO Contract AR2472.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This Recommendation is in compliance with the provision of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida Chapter 46 Article II, Division 3, Section 81, Purchasing and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Office of Purchasing, in conjunction with Information Technologies, will issue a Purchase Order.
