Recommendation Concerning a Letter of Support for the Revised Aquaculture Submerged Land Lease in Escambia Bay - Commissioner Robert Bender, District 4

That the Board authorize the Chairman to sign and send the provided letters of support for the revised Application submitted by Mr. Tyler Massey, Gulf Coast Oyster Farm, LLC, for an Aquaculture Submerged Land lease located approximately five acres north of Donnie McMahon, Pensacola Bay Oyster Company's lease in Escambia Bay to the Honorable Nicole Fried, Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State of Florida, and Portia Sapp, Director, Division of Aquaculture, Department of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State of Florida.

On May 16, 2019, the Board voted to send a letter to the Honorable Nicole Fried, Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State of Florida, and Portia Sapp, Director, Division of Aquaculture, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State of Florida, requesting that the Aquaculture Submerged Land Leases in Escambia Bay remain north of the 30.43 latitude line. Mr. Massey's revised Application has his lease request five acres north of Donnie McMahon, Pensacola Bay Oyster Company's lease in Escambia Bay which is North of the 30.43 latitude line.

Upon Board approval, Commissioner Robert Bender's Office will be happy to mail the letters to the Honorable Nicole Fried, Commissioner of Agriculture, State of Florida, and Porta Sapp, Director, Division of Aquaculture, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State of Florida.
