Recommendation Concerning the Funding Allocation to Support Gallery Night Special Sponsorship Opportunity - Commissioner Lumon May, District 3

That the Board approve the funding allocation of $500 from Commissioner Lumon May's discretionary fund to sponsor Gallery Night Pensacola and Alabama State University Honeybeez Dance Troupe.

BACKGROUND:

Alabama State University Honeybeez - a plus sized, all women African-American dance troupe whose mission is to share body acceptance, self-esteem, and diversity will perform at Gallery Night on Friday, June 21, 2019.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

As part of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget approved by the Board, each Commissioner received $50,000 to use at their discretion.
