RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #065 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #065, General Fund (001), in the amount of $5,000, to recognize a reimbursable Grant from the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) for domestic mosquito control of the Zika virus. These funds will be used to purchase mosquito control chemicals.

BACKGROUND:

Escambia County Mosquito Control received a reimbursable grant from the Florida Department of Health for domestic mosquito control of the Zika virus. These funds were distributed to all Mosquito Control programs in the state. The funds are to be used for surveillance equipment, abatement materials (chemicals), and application tools. However, the intent of the division is to use the funds to purchase mosquito control chemicals.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 001 by $5,000. No matching funds are required.
