RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Financing of the Escambia County Correctional Facility - Amy Lovoy, Assistant County Administrator

That the Board authorize staff to begin the process to solicit proposal for underwriters to finance the Escambia County Corrections Facility.

BACKGROUND:

The estimated total cost of the jail project including demolition of the existing CBD facility is expected to be greater than $144,000,000. This recommendation requests authority to pursue the solicitation of underwriters for the impending debt financing.
