RECOMMENDATION:

Presentation on the New County Correctional Facility by the DLR Group - David W. Wheeler, CFM, Facilities Management Department (2 hours)

BACKGROUND:

DLR Group Inc., was selected by the Board of County Commissioners to be their Design Criteria Professional (DCP) for the New County Correctional Facility. Their scope of services is to prepare the Design Criteria Package for a design-build entity to design and construct the new facility and to serve as the owner’s representative during the construction and transition into this new facility.

Staff and the DLR Group will present to the Board the following:

The Design-Build Process
Design Criteria Package Phase I for a Design Build Entity to design and construct a 700-Bed Correctional Facility with core services and infrastructure to support up to 1500 inmates
