RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Agreement Amendment between the Florida Department of Corrections and Escambia County - Chip W. Simmons, Assistant County Administrator

That the Board take the following action concerning the Agreement Amendment between the Florida Department of Corrections and Escambia County (Amendment #1 to Agreement #A3270), which was approved for the purpose of establishing and maintaining support during an actual or anticipated emergency, to renew the current Agreement for three years and to provide for revisions and additions as outlined on page 1 of the Amendment:

A. Approve Amendment #1 to Agreement #A3270; and

B. Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #1 to Agreement #3270.

BACKGROUND:

Agreement #A3270 is for the purpose of establishing and maintaining support during an actual or anticipated emergency, including prior to, during, or immediately after a Hurricane or other related Natural Disaster, and subject to an Executive Order from the Division of Emergency Management activating the terms of this Agreement.

Amendment #1 to Agreement #A3270 renews the current agreement for three (3) years and provides for revisions and additions as outlined on page 1 of the amendment (attached).

This document has been approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the Assistant County Attorney, Kristin Hual.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Escambia County Board of County Commissioners' policy requires contract amendments to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Contract requirements will be carried out by the Escambia County Department of Corrections.
