RECOMMENDATION:

5:49 p.m. - A Public Hearing Concerning the Issuance of a Recycling Permit for a New Recycling Facility Located at 3300 Godwin Lane, Owned by Bellview Site Contractors, Inc.

That the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) review and approve, modify, or deny the issuance of a recycling permit for a new crushing/recycling facility located at 3300 Godwin Lane, owned by Bellview Site Contractors, Inc.

BACKGROUND:

Belllview Site Contractors, Inc. is an existing construction company located at 3300 Godwin Lane since 2008. They are site and utility subcontractors for small commercial projects. Their operations include demolition, earthwork, excavation, cut and fill, concrete flat work, curbing stormwater structures and pipe, potable water, sanitary sewer and asphalt. Their operation will also include the processing, crushing, and recycling of stockpile concrete and/or asphalt for their use only.

The Development Order (DO) for Bellview Site Contractors, Inc. was approved on June 29, 2016 contingent upon the review for the authorization or denial of the Recycling Facility Permit at the aforementioned location.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

No budgetary impact is anticipated by the issuance of this Permit.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney's Office has reviewed the Permit for form and legal sufficiency by legal sign-off.

PERSONNEL:

N/A

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is consistent with the Board of County Commissioners' mission statement: "To provide efficient, responsive services that enhance our quality of life, meet the common needs, and promote a safe and healthy community."

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Following approval of this recommendation, a Permit shall be issued and distributed accordingly.
