RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Extension of the Agreement for Special Magistrate - Claudia Simmons, Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve the extension of the Agreements for Special Magistrate, PD 14-15.019, for 12 months effective March 5, 2016, per the terms of Section 5.1 of the Agreements with the firms of McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope and Weaver, P.A. and Litvak, Beasley, Wilson & Ball, LLP.
BACKGROUND:
The Request for Proposals, PD14-15.019 was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on Monday, December 15, 2014. Responses were received from three firms on January 13, 2016. The Proposal Review Committee met on January 20, 2015. Final Fee negotiations were completed on January 28, 2015 and all three firms agreed to the same fee schedule.  The agreements were approved by the Board on March 5, 2015.  The firm of Smith, Sauer, DeMaria, P.A. has opted out of the agreement.

The agreement was prepared by Assistant County Attorney Kristin Hual.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with Escambia County Code of Ordinances Chapter 46, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The agreement is administered by Code Enforcement.
