Recommendation Concerning a Change Order to Drug Free Workplaces, Inc., for Drug Testing of Probation Clients - Chip W. Simmons, Assistant County Administrator.

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the following Change Order 1 to Drug Free Workplaces, Inc., adding funds for the drug screening of probation clients under the supervision of Community Corrections:

BACKGROUND:

As a court ordered condition of probation, some offenders are required to submit to drug screening. Community Corrections utilizes Drug Free Workplaces, USA, LLC (PD14-15.013) to facilitate this testing. Due to an increase in the number of participants in the various community corrections programs, the Corrections Department would like to request a change order in the amount of $25,000 to cover the drug testing fees for the remainder of fiscal year 2015-2016.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funding is available in Misdemeanor Probation Fund 114; Misdemeanor Probation Cost Center 290301; Object Code 53101.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance Article II, Purchase and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

Upon approval of this recommendation, a change order will be submitted to the Office of Purchasing for processing.
