| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning General Lines Insurance Agent - Claudia Simmons, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing
That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to sign the Agreement for Insurance Brokerage Services between Escambia County and USI Insurance Services, LLC, per the terms and conditions of PD 15-16.039, General Lines Insurance Agent, for an annual fee the first year not to exceed $120,000, and for the remainder of the initial three-year term and two additional 12-month extensions an annual fee not to exceed $90,000.

The Request for Qualifications was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on Monday, April 4, 2016. Twelve responses were received on Monday, May 2, 2016. The Selection Committee Short-Listed to five firms on Friday, May 13, 2016. The Short-Listed firms were as follows:
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Dawson Companies
Public Risk Insurance Agency
USI Insurance Services, LLC and
Whitman & Whitman, Inc.
Discussions were held on Friday, May 20, 2016. The Selection Committee on that date selected USI Insurance Services, LLC to begin negotiations. Negotiations were held on Friday, May 26, 2016 establishing the fees. |
