RECOMMENDATION: |
5:32 p.m. Hearing to consider David G. Rademacher's Appeal of the Escambia County Contractor Competency Board's Decision.
Recommendation: That the Board uphold the Contractor Competency Board's decision of April 7, 2016, whereby it affirmed its decision of September 2, 2015, finding Respondent, David G. Rademacher, dba Horizon Sunrooms and Spas, Inc., in violation of Section 18-37(c)(1) of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances, “Disregard or failure to correct building code violations or any municipal or county building codes, ordinances, or laws of the State of Florida …”. Based upon the Contractor Competency Board finding, it was ordered that Respondent, David G. Rademacher, be assessed a $250 fine; $350 administrative fees; Respondent be placed on six months probation; a Letter of Reprimand be placed in Respondent's Contractor record; and the Board reserved jurisdiction to order restitution in this matter to Complainant/Homeowner, Glenn Olsen. |
BACKGROUND: |
The above referenced case is a contractor complaint filed on November 17, 2014, against David G. Rademacher dba Horizon Sunrooms and Spas Inc. Mr. Rademacher is contesting the April 6, 2016 Board decision wherein it affirmed it's decision of September 2, 2015, finding Respondent, David G. Rademacher dba Horizon Sunrooms and Spas Inc., in violation of Section 18-37(c)(1) of the Escambia County Code of Ordinances, “Disregard or failure to correct building code violations or any municipal or county building codes, ordinances, or laws of the State of Florida …”. Based upon the Contractor Competency Board finding, it was ordered that Respondent, David G. Rademacher, be assessed a $250.00 fine; $350.00 administrative fees; Respondent be placed on six (6) months probation; a Letter of Reprimand be placed in Respondent's Contractor record; and the Board reserved jurisdiction to order restitution in this matter to Complainant/Homeowner, Glenn Olsen.
