RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Agreement for Shelter and Vet Clinic Supplies - Claudia Simmons, Purchasing Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement for Veterinary Supplies between Escambia County and Merritt Veterinary Supplies, Inc., per the terms and conditions of PD 15-16.045, Shelter and Vet Clinic Supplies Agreement, in the estimated annual amount of $100,000, for a term of 36 months with two options for 12-month extensions, for a maximum term of 60 months.

BACKGROUND:

The Invitation to Bid PD15-16.045 was advertised in the Pensacola News Journal on April 11, 2016. Eight vendors were notified on April 11, 2016.  One bid was received on May 4, 2016. Merritt Veterinary Supplies is the current supplier of vet supplies for the Animal Clinic.

Assitant County Attorney, Kristin Hual prepared the Agreement.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Escambia County, FL, Code of Ordinance, Chapter 46, Article II, Purchasing and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will distribute the Contract and Purchase Orders.
