RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning a Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs - Thomas G. Turner, Human Resources Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Memorandum of Agreement between Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs (FDVA) and Escambia Veteran’s Service Office to establish and formalize the interlocal relationship between the State of Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Escambia County, on behalf of the County Veteran’s Service Officer as an authorized user of FDVA’s VetraSpec technology to manage veterans’ case files and records.

BACKGROUND:
The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs permits access to its claims management software to counties that execute a Memorandum of Agreement and pay the annual license fee of $399. This software license will improve the BCC's Veteran Service Officer ability to access resources and process claims on behalf of veterans.
