RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Budget Amendment #149 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board approve Budget Amendment #149, Court Administration, Article V Fund (115), in the amount of $26,218 reallocating funds into personnel and operating within the existing Cost Center and budget to cover the cost of one full and one part-time employee of the Law Library. The Board at the 4/7/2016 meeting approved the transition of the Law Library operation over to a division of Court Administration moving forward.

BACKGROUND:

Court Administration requested to the BCC the transition of the Law Library under their operation and supervision moving forward. The Board approved the transition at the 4-7-2016 meeting. This BA reallocates existing budgeted funds from other accounts into the personnel and operating accounts to cover the salaries associated with one full and one part-time Librarian.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase personnel funds in Fund 115 by $25,041 and operating by $1,177.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

N/A

PERSONNEL:

This will increase personnel counts by one full and one part-time employee.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

Board policy requires increases and decreases in personnel funds to be approved by the Board.
