Recommendation Concerning a Change Order to Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. - Patrick T. Johnson, Waste Services Department Director

That the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the following Change Order #3, to Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., for Review Effort, Preparation of Response to Comments, and Semi-Annual Perdido Correction Action Program (CAP) Technical Reports for the Perdido Landfill and Perdido CAP, Escambia County, Florida:

BACKGROUND:
Per the Terms and Conditions of PD 02-03.79, Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. (Geosyntec), was issued a Purchase Order for technical review of four semi-annual reports for five sites and preparation of two technical reports, per Task Order PD 05-06.041.04.SWM.15002, in the amount of $47,200.  Geosyntec is submitting this Change Order to PD 05.06.041.04.SWM.15002 (PO No 151053), to the Waste Services Department related to (i) preparation of responses to Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)'s comments on the Spring 2015 Water Quality Report for the Perdido Landfill Corrective Action Program (CAP); (ii) preparation of one semi-annual water quality report for the Perdido CAP, as requested by FDEP (in addition to the one water quality report originally approved under this task order); (iii) additional effort incurred during the technical reviews of 2015 semi-annual monitoring reports; and (iv) preparation and attendance at meetings requested by FDEP and/or Escambia County Waste Services Department.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Funding for this project is available in Fund 401 Solid Waste, Cost Centers 230304, 230309, and 230316; Object Code 53101.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of The Escambia County Florida Code of Ordinances, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
Upon approval of this recommendation, a Change Order will be transmitted to the Office of Purchasing for processing.
