| RECOMMENDATION: |
Recommendation Concerning Approval of the Agreement for Consulting Services for the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management Federally-Funded Subgrant Agreement - Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant - Donald R. Mayo, CBO, Building Services Department Director
That the Board take the following action concerning the Agreement for Consulting Services for the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management Federally-Funded Subgrant Agreement - Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant No.: 15FM-J7-01-27-01-XXX, approved by the Board of County Commissioners on November 5, 2015:
A. Approve the Agreement for Consulting Services between Escambia County, Florida, and Jeffrey S. Ward & Associates, Inc., for services including, but not limited to, the Scope of Services in the Exhibit "A" attached to the Agreement; and
B. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement.

| BACKGROUND: |
| The Board of County Commissioners approved the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management Federally-Funded Subgrant Agreement - Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant No.: 15FM-J7-01-27-01-XXX, approved by the Board of County Commissioners on November 5, 2015. Escambia County Building Inspections Division ("County") desires to enter into an Agreement with Jeffrey Ward & Associates, Inc. ("Consultant") to provide grant implementation and administration services including, but not limited to, the scope of services outlined in Exhibit "A" attached to the Agreement for Consulting Services. |
| BUDGETARY IMPACT: |
| This project is funded, in whole or in part, by grant funding provided through the Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant program pursuant to Federally-Funded Subgrant Agreement Number 15FM-J7-01-27-01-XXX. including a cost share by each recipient. Any administration fees are also paid from the funds. |
| LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF: |
| This Agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by Kristin D. Hual, Assistant County Attorney. |

| The Board requires its approval of Agreements. |
| IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION: |
| Upon final approval by the Board and the State, Escambia County Building Services Department will coordinate with the State of Florida and the approved third party administrator regarding the projects. |
