February 3, 2016, communication from Joseph L. Herring, on behalf of the Gulf Coast Veterans Advocacy Council, Inc., requesting $5,000 to $10,000 to help facilitate activities throughout the year in support of the area's veterans.

The Written Communication request from Joseph L. Herring was submitted for the February 18, 2016, Board of County Commissioners' Agenda but was dropped from the Agenda to allow the Board to learn more about the organization.
