RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement for Fiscal Year 2015/2016 between Escambia County and Northeast Pensacola Sertoma Club, Inc. - Amy Lovoy, Assistant County Administrator

That the Board take the following action concerning the Fiscal Year Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement between Escambia County and Northeast Pensacola Sertoma Club, Inc.:

A. Rescind the Board's action of October 8, 2015, CAR II-5, Item A.(2), approving the Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement with Liberty Sertoma Club, Inc., d/b/a Sertoma's Fourth of July, in the amount of $75,000, to be paid from the 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax Fund (108), Cost Center 360105;

B. Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement between Escambia County and Northeast Pensacola Sertoma Club, Inc., in the amount of $75,000, to be paid from the 4th Cent Tourist Development Tax Fund (108), Cost Center 360105, to be used for the Sertoma's Fourth of July Celebration; and

C. Authorize the execution of the necessary Purchase Order.

BACKGROUND:

The Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement between Escambia County and Liberty Sertoma Club, Inc., d/b/a Sertoma's 4th of July, was approved by the Board at its October 8, 2015, meeting, for funding for Sertoma's Fourth of July Celebration. However, the Office of Management and Budget was advised that the Sertoma's Fourth of July Celebration is now managed under the new name Northeast Pensacola Sertoma Club, Inc. This has been corrected on the Agreement attached to this Recommendation.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funds are available in the Fiscal Year 2015/2016 Budget.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS/SIGN-OFF:

The County Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the Agreement.
