Recommendation Concerning Reallocation of Capital Improvement Program Funds - Joy D. Blackmon, P.E., Public Works Department Director

That the Board approve the reallocation of funds from the Capital Improvement Program, totaling $200,000, as follows:

BACKGROUND:
Escambia County Public Works staff requests the Board's approval to transfer $200,000 from the Sidewalk Program (Transportation Districts 1-5) to the Muscogee Road Sidewalk Project (Transportation District 5). When the Muscogee Road Widening and Drainage Improvement Project for design was originally awarded in 2012, provisions for sidewalks were not included. This funding will allow the contractor to design and build sidewalks for pedestrian access between Webb Street and US Highway 29. The sidewalks will be completed during the construction phase of Muscogee Road (East) Widening and Drainage Improvement Project.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
No budgetary impact occurs. Funding is currently available in Fund 352, "Local Option Sales Tax III", Cost Center 210107, Object Code 56301.
