RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning Amending the Attorney's Standard Professional Consulting Services Contract Documents - Form (F) Consulting Services for Task Orders - Claudia Simmons, Manager, Office of Purchasing

That the Board approve amending the Attorney's Standard Professional Consulting Services Contract Documents, Form  (F) - Consulting Services for Task Orders, amending Article 7, Additional Services and Changes in Scope of Services, by adding paragraph 7.3, related to changes in the consultant's schedule for completion of the scope of work, as follows:

7.3  The County shall have authority to order extensions in the Consultant’s schedule for completion of the Scope of Work of individual project task orders by providing written notice to the Consultant.
BACKGROUND:
The Attorney's Standard Form Construction Contracts as approved by the Board of Commissioners are the primary contract form  used by the Office of Purchasing for contracts resulting from solicitations for construction and construction services.  The amendment to Article 7, Additional Services and Changes in Scope of Services, is needed to provide for a contractual requirement for a written notice of changes in schedule or contract time vs. the issuance of a Change Order.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
The recommendation is in compliance with Escambia County Code of Ordinances Chapter 46, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
