RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #080 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #080, Economic Development Fund (102) and Gulf Coast Restoration Fund (118), in the amount of $415,850, to recognize proceeds from the the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and to appropriate these funds for planning assistance in preparation of the multi-year implementation plan relating to RESTORE (Resources, Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities and Revived Economies).

BACKGROUND:

On November 17, 2015, the BCC approved the RESTORE Planning Assistance Grant for the development of the multi-year implementation plan. These funds are to reimburse the County for consulting services by Dewberry, the County's RESTORE Act Coordinator, which is a temporary contract employee, and indirect costs. Also, funds will be used to hire a full-time RESTORE Program Manager for the term of the grant, hire temporary personnel as needed, perform a risk assessment, and create a Best Available Science Tool, as well as other associated indirect costs.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 102 by $291,720 and Fund 118 by $124,130.

PERSONNEL:
