RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Scheduling of a Public Hearing to Consider Adopting an Ordinance creating Chapter 46, Article II, Section 46-112 relating to participation of minority and women business enterprises.

That the Board authorize the scheduling of a public hearing on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 5:34 p.m. to consider an Ordinance creating Chapter 46, Article II, Section 46-112 relating to participation of minority and women business enterprises.

BACKGROUND:

The proposed Ordinance will establish procedures to encourage the participation of minority and women owned businesses in the public procurement of goods and services by the County.
