RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning Supplemental Budget Amendment #032 - Stephan Hall, Budget Manager, Management and Budget Services

That the Board adopt the Resolution approving Supplemental Budget Amendment #032, Law Enforcement Trust (LET) Fund (121), in the amount of $500,000, to recognize revenues from various law enforcement activities, and to appropriate these funds into the Sheriffs Law Enforcement Trust Fund Budget to pay pending invoices for Fiscal Year 2015/2016, drug/crime awareness, investigations, and other related law enforcement activities in Escambia County, pursuant to Florida Statute 932.7055.

BACKGROUND:

Per F.S. 932.7055 certain law enforcement activities generate a revenue stream that must be appropriated into the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to be expended by the Sheriff, these funds support various law enforcement related activities as well as grants to local non-profit agencies within Escambia County. LET funding allocations by account are anticipated expenditures per the Sheriff's Office.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

This amendment will increase Fund 121 by $500,000.
