RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation Concerning the Issuance of Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Purchase Orders in Excess of $50,000, for the Waste Services Department - Patrick T. Johnson, Waste Services Department Director

That the Board approve the issuance of blanket and/or individual Purchase Orders in excess of $50,000, for the Fiscal Year 2015-2016, based upon previously awarded Contracts, Contractual Agreements, or annual requirements as provided, for the Waste Services Department.

BACKGROUND:

The issuance of these purchase orders during the first week in October 2015, is necessary to ensure continuity of services traditionally provided by the Board of County Commissioners, to the citizens of Escambia County.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Funding for the listed purchase orders is available in various accounts.

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:

This recommendation is in compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of Escambia County, Florida, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II Purchases and Contracts.

IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:

The Waste Services Department has coordinated with the Office of Management and Budget, and will work with Purchasing Office Staff to prepare purchase orders as needed.
