RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning a Fiscal Year 2014/2015 Purchase Order in Excess of $50,000, for the Public Safety Department - Michael D. Weaver, Public Safety Department Director

That the Board approve the issuance of a Purchase Order, in the amount of $67,375, to Everbridge, Inc. (Vendor Number 420297), for the subscription period of July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016, to provide unlimited mass notification to thousands of citizens within minutes.

BACKGROUND:
In October 2014, Escambia County Public Safety Department entered into an subscription agreement  for a period of eight months with Everbridge, Inc., for an Integrated Emergency Notification System with an option to extend the contract for four additional 12- month periods after obtaining three written quotes.The contract’s initial term is due to expire midnight, June 30, 2015. The recommendation is the result of a mutual agreement between the parties to exercise the option to extend the subscription services agreement for the first of the 12-month periods. 

Emerald Coast Utilities Authority, Gulf Power Company, International Paper, Florida Department of Health in Escambia County, and Ascend Performance Materials Operations, LLC, each agree to reimburse Escambia County $11,229.16 for their share of the cost with a total reimbursement of $56,145.80.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The annual cost of this subscription ($67,375) is available in Fund 001 (General Fund) and Fund 110 (Other Grants and Projects).

POLICY/REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION:
This recommendation is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of Escambia COunty, Florida, 1999, Chapter 46, Finance, Article II, Purchases and Contracts.
IMPLEMENTATION/COORDINATION:
The Office of Purchasing will extend the current agreement and issue Purchase Order.
