RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation Concerning the Contract Extension on the Custodial Services for County Buildings Contract - David W. Wheeler, CFM, Facilities Management Department Director

That the Board take the following action concerning the Custodial Services for County Buildings Contract PD 10-11.049:

A. Approve the second twelve-month Contract extension, effective October 1, 2015, to American Facility Services, Inc.; and

B. Authorize the Chairman to sign all related documents.

BACKGROUND:
On August 4, 2011 the Board awarded the Custodial Services for County Buildings, Contract PD 10-11.049 to American Facility Services, Inc. for a term of three (3) years , effective October 1, 2011, with an option to renew for three (3) successive twelve (12) month periods. 

The first twelve (12) month renewal option was executed effective October 1, 2014.  The contract manager is requesting to exercise the second twelve (12) month extension to be effective October 1, 2015.  American Facility Services, Inc. has agreed to offer the same terms and conditions with no price increase.

The Board has requested that contract extensions be brought to the Board for approval.
